Are you not happy with your life? Are you unsatisfied with your lot? Do you have an envious heart for others who seem to have more?
I urge you to remember that each of us has access to God’s Word, our own personal travel guide to how to live a Godly life. Each one of us has the same Holy Spirit within us as every other believer. When we asked God to take control of our life, we were given everything we need to see our life made new.
So what road have you chosen?
Do we allow ourselves to be crushed by the ways of the world?
Forgetting there is little we can do about it but read God’s Word and pray over it, and deal with our own corner. 2 Corinthians 4: 7-9 Paul says:
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed”
Do we feel upset with the changes we are seeing in our church life as many churches wrestle with falling numbers. Again, our choice, we can uphold God’s church, namely us, in prayer, ardently and often. Pray for the lost.
Remember friends, God has always had a people, we are His church, the Church is alive!
So it is our choice how we conduct ourselves, we can look out in despair at the darkness or stand tall, rejoice in Him, glorify Him, love one another remembering we are the greatly blessed, highly favoured, forgiven children of God.
