The Anchor Boys offers an opportunity for boys to build their social skills, creativity and confidence, working on their own and with others.
Stories each week include looking at responsibility, respect and telling the truth. Each week, the boys are told Bible stories that have been well-loved over the years. We have Halloween and Christmas party nights, as well as a sports night and quizzes.
Should they wish to continue further, boys in Primary 3 are promoted to the Junior Section of the 44th Glasgow Company of the Boys Brigade, which runs at the church on Friday nights.
There are 20 places for boys in Primary 2 or Primary 3.
The Officer-in-Charge of the Anchor Boys is Mr Ian McDonald.
The 44th Glasgow Company of the Boys' Brigade have a separately maintained website of their own. For more detailed information about the work of the Boys' Brigade and some of its history and ethos, you should visit the 44th's own site.
