Normally, coffee and tea are served in the Waiting Room immediately after each service. This allows members of the Congregation to meet together, to share news and to learn more about one another. It is a time of relaxation and encouragement of one another, and is often very busy. While you are having coffee, you can sit and admire the books in the Library or examine some of the beautiful cards and literature available at the Ekwendeni Book and Gift Stall.

A well-stocked Church Library is available for you to peruse. If you would like to borrow a book or video, any office-bearer will give you further information on how to do that. Browse the shelves with a friend, during coffee after the service.

A book stall operated by our Mission Team have a book and gift stall in aid of Ekwendeni, which you can browse on a Sunday during Coffee in the Committee Waiting Room. We can also advise and subscribe you to a Bible Reading Notes scheme that will be suitable for your requirements.

At 10:45 am, members of the Prayer Group invite others to join them as they uphold in prayer all that happens in our premises on a Sunday morning.  Prayer is offered for those responsible for preparing the sanctuary and the worship; the people who gather to attend the service, those who greet them; those who prepare and deliver the Christian Education programme, as well as the children being nurtured in the faith, and the homes and families to which they belong; the fellowship in the waiting room over coffee/tea. There is plenty for which to pray - including safe travel for the journeys that people make to and from the church, bus-drivers, those whose duties relate to the uplifting and counting of the offering, and those who tidy up afterwards.
